Hello!
I’m Philly – an editor, reviewer, copywriter and speechwriter (translation: still working out what on earth to do with an English degree) based in Falmouth, Cornwall. You can see a bit of what I’ve been up to for the last 6 years here.
When not stuck at my laptop, I’m most at home under open skies – walking, rowing, sleeping, eating…
In 2018 I was incredibly proud to be chosen as an Ordnance Survey #GetOutside champion… I may have taken their campaign somewhat literally – from April I’ll be spending 5-6 months living outside, walking my way up the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada.
But aside from that time I walked across the Pyrenees, my usual adventures are a lot more low-key: I’m generally found getting rained on in Cumbria, tootling along the South West Coast Path or rowing around the Carrick Roads pretending I know how to catch mackerel.
Internet’s going to be patchy, but please do get in touch if you’d like a bit of advice on adventures big or small, you have some kit for me to review, or you’d like to discuss the finer points of 1970s stadium rock.
